Sabato 21 settembre è stato un’altro giorno memorabile per la regina del famoso Gruppo B. Regno Unito la location, RallyDay l’evento, organizzato e preparato magistralmente da Rally Replay, una nuova realtà oltremanica che dà l’opportunità, a chi ha budget e sogna in grande, di poter acquistare alcuni esemplari di autovetture ex ufficiali che hanno partecipato ai campionati del mondo rally, oltre a dare un servizio di restauro e simili ma in questa occasione sono stati protagonisti appunto per aver dato vita ad uno spettacolo che non sempre si ha l’occasione di poter vedere. Oltre a macchine del passato, dalle più vittoriose alle più particolari, l’evento ha avuto gran risalto per la partecipazione di alcuni tra i più importanti “attori” della scena mondiale dei Rally, tra tutti Didier Auriol l’ex autista di ambulanze che nel 1994 a bordo della Toyota Celica ST185 diventa il primo pilota francese a vincere il titolo mondiale. Oltre al pilota Montpellier erano presenti campioni del calibro di Alex Fiorio, Craig Breen, Nicky Grist e molti altri. Ma prima forse dei grandi talenti, il pubblico è giunto in grande affluenza per le auto, poichè erano presenti veri capolavori ingegneristici, tra cui Lancia 037 Stradale, Ford Escort, Fiat Abarth 131, Subaru Impreza 555, Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione in diverse livree celebrative, MG Metro 6R4 e moltissime altre ancora; colei che però ha incantato il grande pubblico è stata senza dubbio la Lancia Delta S4, guidata dal nostro conterraneo Edoardo Bresolin, un’esemplare magnifico e molto prestazionale che ha fatto innamorare i molti presenti per la sua potenza e velocità fatte vedere nel circuito di Castle Combe. Un evento che ha avuto un successo, con la conferma che RallyDay sia uno degli eventi più importanti del Regno Unito con affluenze di pubblico superiori alle 10.000 persone; un’evento con cui pochi possono paragonarsi a livello internazionale ma per darvi un termine di paragone, il Rally Legend di San Marino riesce ad attirare piloti e vetture della stessa importanza. Chi avrà la possibilità per il prossimo anno consigliamo di non mancare poichè come tutti si cerca sempre di dare sempre di più quindi chissà l’edizione 2020 cosa potrebbe riservarci!
